Michael J. Moore, D.C.
I am Michael J. Moore, D.C., a third generation Palmer College Graduate. For those unfamiliar with the history of Chiropractic, the Palmer family discovered and developed Chiropractic beginning with D.D. Palmer, D.C. in 1895. He was followed by his son, B. J. Palmer, D.C. who moved Chiropractic forward to establish the largest natural healing art in America today.
My family started in Chiropractic with my grandfather, Glenn Moore, D.C., who graduated in 1923. Glenn practiced in Oregon for most of his career, retiring after 43 years of service.
My father, A. G. Moore, D.C., who still works with us today, graduated from Palmer in 1956. He was in full-time practice for 40 years. He came out of retirement to help in our office and continues to work on a part-time basis.
I graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1981, returning to Redding to practice in 1982 where my wife, Donna, and I have been serving our community ever since. I have gone on to a post-graduate degree in Chiropractic Philosophy in 2005 joining the ranks of the Legion of Chiropractic Philosophers (L.C.P.). I am a past president of the North State Chiropractic Society and a member of both the California Chiropractic Association and International Chiropractors Association. Through the years I have attended many postgraduate courses including pediatrics, extremity adjusting, sports injuries, and numerous other diversified techniques. We attend seminars and programs on a regular basis to this day to stay abreast of the newest techniques and changes in this ever-evolving form of natural health care.
My wife, Donna, is an X-ray technician and also completed an associate’s certificate in the Legion of Chiropractic Philosophers program.
Our daughter, Sandy Bailey, D.C., graduated from Palmer College in 2004 and is practicing in Indio, California. We also have a nephew, Brian Willyard, D.C. who practices in Port Orchard, Washington, making two 4th generation Chiropractors in our family so far!
Most patients initially come to our office for relief of pain or disease at some level in their body. We find for most people, however, once we look a little deeper into their health goals, the real desire beyond pain relief is to prevent recurrences of chronic pain and to be well, stay healthy, and experience a life that is active and vibrant for as long as possible. Our patients frequently enjoy renewed energy, decreased frequency of sickness, and freedom to do the activities that bring happiness and a sense of quality in their living.
See what our patients are saying!
If this is what you are looking for give us a call and we will make arrangements for a time to meet you and evaluate your current health status. We are dedicated to offer the finest chiropractic care possible. Put our years of experience to work for you.
Donna, my staff, and I look forward to meeting you in person.
To your health,
Michael J. Moore, D.C.,
Three Generations of Chiropractic Care
As a child, I watched my grandfather help injured farmers and loggers get back to work so they could provide for their families.
As a third generation chiropractor I take pride in helping people not only get out of pain but also helping them become healthy. Like my father and grandfather, I’ve helped many people who were told they could not be helped.
The only way we can find out if I can help you, as my family has helped thousands of others since 1923, is for you to simply call my office at 530-221-4200. My staff and I are ready to serve you.

The difference three generations makes.
At Moore Chiropractic, we work together with our patients to accurately evaluate the cause of your pain and symptoms, then develop a care plan which works right for you. In matters of health, you should never feel rushed. We are prepared to take as much time as needed to help you and your family achieve optimum health.
Yes, we take care of the entire family. We have cared for patients of all ages, from newborns to 101 years of age. For many of our families, we have cared for multiple generations within their families. We are now seeing children of patients who have now grown up who had started under care as children themselves.
Our gentle techniques are explained thoroughly prior to the start of care. It is an honor to know we’ve earned the trust of a family who brings a young child or elderly grandparent in for care. It is equally rewarding to see the relief of not only the patient we care for but the family who cares for them when we see symptoms begin to resolve. In this way, we often see the quality of life improve for the entire family. By gently restoring the function of the nervous system, we often see great response in babies who had suffered from many troubling conditions such as colic, torticollis, and ear infections, or the elderly patient regaining their health, strength, and ability to care for themselves after receiving care in our office.
